What does Grade A jadeite mean? Do you really know? In the eyes of my friends, I am an expert on jadeite raw stones. I can tell the authenticity of jadeite at a glance. These are the experiences and skills accumulated over 20 years. I will share them with everyone in Tengpu Pavilion regularly so that everyone can quickly and truly understand jadeite raw stones and avoid detours. It also allows friends who like jade to have a correct understanding when purchasing jadeite products and not be deceived and waste money! This is also the original intention of our Tengpu Pavilion! There are several theories about the origin of the name of jadeite. One theory is that it comes from the name of a bird. The feathers of this bird are very bright. The male's feathers are red, and it is called the jadeite bird (also known as the red-feathered bird). The female's feathers are green, and it is called the kingfisher (also known as the green-feathered bird). Together they are called jadeite, so there is a saying in the industry that jadeite is male and kingfisher is female. During the Ming Dynasty, after Burmese jade was introduced to China, it was named "jadeite". Another theory is that in ancient times "Cui" specifically referred to the green jade produced in Hotan, Xinjiang. After jadeite was introduced to China, in order to distinguish it from the green jade of Hotan, it was called "fei cui", and later gradually evolved into "jadeite". What is Grade A jadeite? The so-called A-grade jade refers to jade that is produced naturally. From the mining of raw stones to the processing of finished products, it has not undergone any chemical treatment. It is only processed, carved, ground and polished using physical methods, and no chemical or radiation methods are used to destroy its internal structure. There has long been a consensus in the industry that it is called A-grade jadeite. First of all, A-grade jade is jade that has never undergone any chemical treatment, and it preserves pure natural jade in terms of color, water quality, internal structure, flaws, etc. It has not been artificially falsified by high heat, high pressure, etc. It is a natural color, not dyed or electroplated, and is called "true color" or "real color". Observed with the naked eye, the texture is delicate, the color is soft, and the stone patterns are obvious; when lightly bumped, it makes a crisp and pleasant sound; it feels heavy in the hand, which is clearly different from other stones. Its characteristics are that the density should be between 3.32-3.34g/cm3, the refractive index should be 1.66, it should have a glassy luster, and when magnified, it should have a fiber interwoven structure and should not fluoresce under ultraviolet light. Grade A jade does not emphasize the quality of jade, nor does it represent the grade of jade. It only means that the jade is naturally formed. Grade A jade is obviously more expensive and also has certain investment value. Generally speaking, jade is of very high quality and very expensive. A-grade jade is durable because its internal structure has not changed, and its color is naturally caused by ions, so it will not change over time. A-grade jade will become more beautiful the more you wear it. High-end A-grade jade not only has excellent decorative functions, but also has collection value and investment value. Only A-grade jade is the real thing. fcgc66 fcpf18 |
