alert! After dyeing and heating, this kind of high-grade red and yellow jadeite is not natural!

As we all know, yellow and red jade are secondary colors of jade. The color is caused by the impregnation of limonite and hematite minerals in the pores or cracks between the jade grains. This type of jade not only has a small output, but most of it has poor water quality. It is mid-range jade, and very few of them can reach high-end quality with both excellent quality and color.

High-grade natural red jadeite ring

Generally speaking, in order to improve aesthetics, heating and dehydrating natural yellow jade to turn it red without adding any foreign substances is an optimization treatment that is acceptable in the industry.

But once other substances are added, the situation changes.

Red-dyed and heated jadeite bracelet

Recently, a batch of high-end full-color red and yellow jade jewelry have been circulating on the market. The color is particularly uniform and has a certain water head (transparency) . However, after careful identification, it is found that the color is not natural color, but artificially colored jade. It is not filled with resin and cannot be distinguished under an infrared spectrometer, but obvious dyeing can be seen after cutting.

It is understood that these artificially colored products are purchased online or from Sihui. Their prices are much cheaper than natural colors, mostly ranging from hundreds to thousands. Some people buy them and then sell them as natural jade, making considerable profits.

Yellow Dyed Heat-treated Jadeite Bracelet

According to people related to Sihui, it turns out that some criminals in Sihui secretly manufacture this type of goods under confidentiality conditions. They soak colorless or less-colored jade in a solution containing iron oxide for a period of time and then heat it.

This method adds foreign substances to the color and is an artificial treatment rather than a simple heat optimization treatment. Therefore, it does not fall into the category of natural jade and should be called C-grade jade (dyed jade). Its actual value should be much lower.

This artificially treated jade is certainly bright and beautiful, but its value is far from that of natural jade of the same quality. Buyers should be more vigilant to avoid losses!
