Damakan jadeite can be so beautiful by making good use of the yellow fog layer

Jade has rich colors, and several colors often appear in one piece of jade. For example, the Damakan jade that we often play with often has yellow foggy skin and white flesh. When encountering such Damakan jade, never separate the yellow foggy skin and the flesh for carving. Put them together, do a good job of color separation and color matching, and often unexpected little fine products will appear!

Today I will share with you the process of creating a color-separation carving on a piece of Damakan jadeite. Do you think this kind of color-separation carving is exquisite?

The material is a very classic Damakan yellow-skin jadeite. The yellow foggy skin of the jadeite has excellent water quality and rich and pure color; the white flesh has a delicate and clean texture, good water quality and no flaws. This piece of Damakan jade is a relatively rare fine material. The key to its carving is how to do a good job of color separation and make full use of the yellow fog layer!

The jade carving master decided to carve this piece of jade into a nine-tailed fox pendant based on the position and shape of the white flesh and the overall appearance of the jade. Separate the white meat from the yellow fog layer and carve a crouching fox; the yellow fog layer is then colored as the fox's nine tails. The whole design separates the yellow fog and white meat very well without appearing abrupt, and the transition between the front and the back is natural.

In order to better achieve the ideal color separation effect, jade carving masters use a combination of medium relief and round carving techniques to carve jade. A fox as smart as ice and snow, lively and agile, yet charming and seductive is presented on the jade.

The theme of the nine-tailed fox is that the carving implies quick wit, agility, and cleverness. Wearing it can attract the favor of the opposite sex!

The finished product after polishing is even more beautiful and eye-catching. The Damakan yellow fog layer has excellent water quality. It is icy, translucent and smooth, with a beautiful luster and texture; the white jade part has a clean texture, pure and charming. The carving of a nine-tailed fox gives the jade full vitality and makes the pendant particularly spiritual!
