Don’t know how to choose a jade bracelet? You will understand after reading this article

Jade is very suitable for people with yellow skin. Jade comes in green, yellow, red, purple, white, and black. Various colors are suitable for different age groups. So how do you choose jade jewelry? Today, the editor of the Jewelry School will talk about bracelets.

The price of a high-end jade bracelet ranges from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands or even millions, while mid-range ones cost thousands and low-end ones cost hundreds. How to distinguish the choices?

The type and water are very important. A bracelet with good water can make the wearer look younger, while a bracelet with dry water will make the wearer look old. No matter what color bracelet you choose, the more transparent it is, the better, and the brighter the color, the better. For mid-range jadeite, you can lower the standards appropriately and choose according to your personal preferences.

texture. Natural jade is transparent or translucent in texture, with an oily and shiny surface. Upon closer inspection, you can see nearly round, slightly transparent "salt grains" and fibrous substances surrounding them.

hardness. Natural jade is hard jade with a Mohs hardness of 7. It will not leave any marks if scratched by a sharp knife. Fake jade has a low hardness and can be scratched by a sharp knife.

Emerald nature. When observing natural jade under strong light, you can see emerald flashes of other mineral particles inside it, which are called jade flowers or jade properties. Fakes made of glass, plastic, or porcelain do not have this "jade property" feature.

Relative density (specific gravity). Natural jade has a hard and tight structure, no bubbles, high density, and a crisp sound when knocked; fake jade has a loose structure or has bubbles, low density, and a hoarse, unclear sound when knocked.

Color. The genuine product has a rich, pure emerald green color. Some counterfeits are made of white jade, serpentine, Australian jade, Korean jade, marble or even miscellaneous stones. After being bleached, they are filled with high-hard plastic slurry and colored, or immersed in green liquid to make "colored jade". When observed under strong light, green lines can be seen, which are messy and small. Some do not show lines, but are turbid and have poor luster, and are lighter than the real ones.

Bracelet styles and circumferences. Common styles include round bracelets, imperial concubine bracelets, flat bracelets, carved bracelets, and gold-inlaid bracelets. The mainstream style is that people with thick wrists choose round bracelets, and people with wider wrists choose imperial concubine bracelets. Generally, they should not be too tight after wearing, nor can they move too much back and forth.

Of course, you also need to choose according to your height, weight and body shape. If you are too tall or fat, don’t choose a bracelet that is too thin. Then see if there are cracks and impurities. If there are cracks, the value will decrease. If it is vertical lines, it will have little impact on the bracelet. If it is horizontal lines, it is best not to buy it. You can also touch it repeatedly with your hands to feel whether there is any unevenness. If you are not sure, you can use the light of your mobile phone or a magnifying glass to observe it. If it is a healed crack, that is, the stone pattern contained inside the jade, it generally will not affect the stability of the bracelet. A small amount of stone pattern is also strong evidence to prove that it is natural jade, and there will be a big difference in price.
