I picked up a piece of Damakan rough stone, cut out a rare yellow and green emerald, and after carving it, an expert bought it for a high price!

Today I would like to share with you a small fine Damakan water stone. As you can see, this stone has a yellow and green feeling, excellent oiliness, and performs very well. It weighs 26 grams.

This piece of jadeite rough stone was sold at a low price by a Burmese merchant, and was picked up by a friend of the editor. After it was cut open, it turned out to be yellow jadeite, and it was icy chicken-fat yellow jadeite at that. The key point is that the floating color bands are extremely rare.

From the cut surface, you can clearly see that the whole body is covered with yellow jade, and it is easy to remove the pendant. The color is obviously yellow and green. Looking at the full texture, it seems as if the finished product is waving at you.

When shining the light on it, it is full of water and has a strong smell of jade. The whole piece is semi-transparent. Such a small piece of material can definitely be made into a small carving. Although the water quality of such material may not be very good, things are valuable because they are rare. The prices of finished products such as full yellow jade and violet jade are also relatively high in the market. The value of this small piece of material will also increase several times.

Yellow Jade "Dripping Buddha" Pendant

Yellow and green jadeite

A piece of jade with both yellow and green colors is generally called "yellow and green" in the industry. Nowadays, yellow and green jadeite with a white base is often called "tricolor jadeite".

Yellow-green is a very rare variety of jade because it must have both primary green and secondary yellow, which makes it more difficult to form and rarer than single green jade. The market performance further confirms this. Among the thousands of lots in each public auction of jadeite raw materials, green jadeite and glass jadeite raw materials are relatively common, while yellow and green jadeite raw materials are extremely rare, and only one or two can be seen occasionally. At the 2009 Beijing International Jewelry Fair, the price of yellow-green jadeite was very high. For example, the bean-shaped yellow-green bracelets exhibited by the Taiwan exhibition group were priced at more than 300,000 yuan, and an ordinary yellow-green jadeite pendant was priced at more than tens of thousands of yuan. In shops in Tengchong, Ruili and other places, the price of yellow-green jadeite raw materials is at least tens of thousands of yuan per kilogram.

The colors formed during the jadeite mineralization period are called primary colors, which are mainly green and white. Red and yellow jade are secondary colors. The jadeite raw stone is transported, washed, soaked, and penetrated by river water. It is formed after the iron elements in the jadeite and associated minerals are oxidized. Most of them are formed on the surface of the jadeite rough material. Most of the original jadeite materials are pure in color. Only after the jadeite raw stone has undergone erosion and weathering can it have a combination of colors. Yellow and green jadeite is the original green color with secondary jadeite added to it. The original green jadeite is already rare. Although there are many jadeite rough materials with red and yellow jadeite layers, it is extremely rare to have both green and jadeite colors in the rough material. If the color is bright, delicate and transparent, it is an even rarer treasure.
