01 Coating

02 Cleaning

Use a soft cloth or cotton ball soaked in oil to wipe specific locations of the jade, especially the pits and depressions formed by carving. Also seal it in a hard plastic bag and store it, and check and re-oil it regularly.

03 Immersion

That is, the jade is soaked in a container filled with maintenance oil. After safely catching the jadeite, hang it and immerse it in the curing oil in the container. You can pull the rope connecting the net bag to retract or unfold the net bag, making it easy to observe the jadeite. 04 Wax

That is, apply a layer of liquid paraffin wax on the surface of jade, also called sealing wax, which has the same function as sealing. Seeing this, many people are confused, how can jade be maintained with wax? Is jadeite that has been preserved with wax still considered natural jadeite? Xiao Jin needs to make one thing clear: the wax care here is different from jade waxing. It does not mean allowing the wax to enter the interior through processing.

If you just apply wax on the surface of jade, it is a normal process of jade processing. Most of the jade on the market will be coated with a layer of wax after carving and polishing. This layer of wax will not penetrate into the interior of the jade, but only stay on the surface.

It is equivalent to applying a protective film on the surface of jade to prevent dust, dirt, and corrosive objects from contaminating the jade. When jade comes into contact with hard objects, the wax layer also has a certain protective effect on jade.
