A piece of blue water jadeite with a unique Buddha theme

Working in the jade business is really interesting. There are often interesting things happening. I just happened to come across one and I'd like to share it with you all.

Because if you require a low price, fine workmanship, and the size cannot be too small, there is really not much room for recommendation.

Unexpectedly, after seeing it, the old man said in confusion: Why does such a good piece of jade have to be carved into this shape? Is the sculptor stupid?

In fact, many people have this question. As more and more freehand sculptures appear, their shapes also vary.

Let me say here that it is not the sculptor who carved it into this shape, but it has always been like this.

Yes, that's how it is. Because the jade is so beautiful, the sculptor couldn't bear to let it fall, so he designed and carved it according to the original shape, and it became its current shape.

Maybe someone will ask, why is it like this?

Isn’t jade made up of large pieces of stone? It can't be small pieces of different shapes? When jade is cut, shouldn’t it be in a regular shape?

The jadeite raw stone is indeed a large piece, but what shape of jadeite can be cut out of it, how big the jadeite can be, and what kind of jadeite can be cut out are all unknown.

In other words, before cutting the jadeite raw stone, no one can tell whether the stone inside has been jadeified, how big the jadeified stone is, or to what extent it has been jadeified.

As the saying goes, even gods cannot tell the difference between an inch of jade and a stone. Therefore, the jadeite that is cut is generally irregular in shape.

Even if a large piece of jade is cut out, there will always be irregular edges that will be cut off. There will be similar free-form sculptures.
