1. Gloss contrast

Natural A-grade jadeite generally has a glassy luster, is warm and transparent, and has strong reflectivity; while B-grade jadeite has a "resinous" luster, and although it appears to be very transparent, its luster is dull and appears to have no spirituality.

2. Color contrast

The color of natural A-grade jade is naturally layered with some obvious transitions; the color of B-grade jade is too bright or a little yellowish, which looks unnatural; the green color of C-grade jade is evenly distributed without any transitions.

3. Surface structure comparison

The surface of A-grade jadeite is smooth and bright, with an inlaid and interwoven structure, like orange peel texture. B-grade jadeite has been corroded by strong acid, so under a magnifying glass you can see some network-like acid-etching marks or some glue-injected cracks.

4. Basic comparison

Natural A-grade jade has strong light penetration, is crystal clear, has a "fly wing" structure inside the jade and has strong reflectivity. However, B-grade jade has a loose structure, weaker light penetration, and is relatively blurry.

5. Certificate Comparison

Finally, we have to talk about the jade identification certificate. If you still cannot feel at ease with the above methods, then the only thing you can rely on is the identification certificate. The identification certificate will have the jade identification results. Whether it is A grade or B grade, you will know at a glance!
