Are old jade and old pit jade really the same thing?

Old Jade

Old jade has nothing to do with how long it has been mined, but rather refers to the time it has been mined and made into jewelry and circulated in society. That is antique jadeite.

You should know that old jadeite comes in all kinds of qualities. Needless to say, the ones collected by the nobles and the palace in ancient times are of the best quality and are very expensive.

Add to that hundreds or thousands of years of historical significance, and it’s the icing on the cake, and it can be sold at a higher price.

However, if some of the pieces collected by the public are not fine-grained, have many cracks, and are not related to some important historical figures, they basically have no market value.
