Today I will share with you a little secret in the jade circle. Both jade consumers and experts have made mistakes. After getting a piece of jade, it may not look good after three or four months. There may be two reasons for this.

The first reason is that the wax layer has fallen off. The last step in making pendants and bracelets is waxing and polishing. The wax layer may fall off after a long time, but the impact is not significant.

The second reason is more serious. Please note that good things will not be done this way. Some peers will perform very weak acid wash on low-end goods before polishing them, which will only take about a few hours. Everyone knows that strong acid wash is to use hydrofluoric acid to wash, and the jade must be soaked thoroughly, but weak acid wash is different. It just needs to fully dilute the acid and soak it for a few hours, which will have a certain destructive effect on the jade.

The key point is that if you take this thing to an appraisal center for appraisal, it will still turn out to be A-grade goods. Why do you do this? In fact, it is to treat the surface with a slight acid, and then it will be particularly beautiful and good-looking when waxing. To put it simply, it is to put on makeup for the jade. Such slight acid washing is equivalent to applying a foundation for the jade, and the subsequent waxing is equivalent to applying a light makeup for it. These are actually done to sell better, but there is also a disadvantage, that is, it will become ugly after removing the makeup. What should I do? There are two ways.

The first one is to actually polish it once, and then throw away all the corrosion layer and make a thin layer.

The second method is to boil the wax again, which is equivalent to re-applying makeup to it, but this operation may have to be repeated continuously. To put it bluntly, if the makeup falls off, you have to continue to touch up the makeup.
