1. Color

3. Transparent

4. Knock

The quality of jade can be judged by knocking it. The better the jade, the crisper the sound. If there are some flaws in the jade, the sound will be different. For example, if there are cracks inside the jade or it is hollow, the sound heard when you knock it will be hollow.

Finally, be sure to illuminate the jade with a flashlight. Under transparent light, you can see many flaws in the jade, which can help you reasonably evaluate the value of the jade!

1. Glue-injected jadeite

Some jadeite with poor quality, poor water quality and cracks are usually counterfeited by using the acid-washing and glue-injection techniques. If you observe this type of jade confidently, you can see that the surface has bumpy acid etching marks. Under a magnifying glass, you can see that the internal structure of the jade is relatively loose, and there are even some small bubbles.

2. Dyed Jade

Jade dyeing is used to dye jade with poor color into jade with brighter color. The color of this type of jade will be exaggerated and unnatural; and when observed under a magnifying glass, the color roots of the jade will appear thread-like, the transition will be unnatural, and the color will float from the outside; and the sound will be dull when the jade is knocked.
