In the jade family, there are many different types of jade. Today I will introduce to you the characteristics of several special and precious jade varieties.

Flower Green Jade

Flower green jadeite refers to jadeite with a relatively rich color, distributed in a floral pattern, irregular and uneven. The texture of Huaqing jade ranges from translucent to opaque, and the base can also be divided into glutinous Huaqing, ice-based Huaqing, bean-based Huaqing, horse-tooth Huaqing, and oil-based Huaqing. The colors include dark green, light green, light white or other colors. The green colors include filamentous, blocky, lumpy and irregular shapes. The structures include fibrous, fine-grained and medium-grained structures.

The characteristic of this variety is that the green color is unevenly distributed, some are dense and some are scattered, and the color depth varies. Generally belong to low-end accessories. It is generally used to make accessories, pendants and carvings, and rarely used to make bracelets. When the texture of anthocyanin is relatively coarse, the sound when knocked is dull.

Gold thread jadeite

It refers to the bright emerald green color of jadeite distributed in thread-like patterns. The darker green color is distributed in strips, bands, flakes or threads between lighter colored areas (light green, grayish white or pinkish purple), making it look brighter. The body of golden-thread jadeite is transparent to translucent, with a fine and smooth texture and fewer cracks and cottony textures. Color becomes silk, and silk is subdivided into straight silk (silk is directional and parallel), disordered silk (silk is disordered), flake silk (silk flakes are parallel), and black silk (emerald green with black lines). They are arranged parallel to each other, and you can clearly see that the green appears intermittently along a certain direction. Of course, the green silk can be thick or thin.

The quality of golden-thread jadeite depends on the color of its green ribbons, the proportion of green silk, and the coarseness of its texture. The ones with thick color stripes, fine and dense green silk, large area proportion and brighter colors are of course more valuable; on the contrary, those with sparse color stripes or intermittent green silk and light colors are much cheaper. Gold-thread jade jewelry is mostly processed into jade bracelets, jade miscellaneous items, jade flower pieces, etc. If you are making decorations or designs, you should try to keep the distribution direction of parallel silk as much as possible and coordinate with the trend of green silk to achieve the best visual effect.

Jumping green jade

The characteristic of Tiaoqing jadeite is that there are green or dark green colors in clusters, dots or blocks distributed on a light gray, light white or gray-green base. The difference between Tiaoqing jadeite and Huaqing jadeite is the different base seals.

Dragon Stone Jade

Longshi jade has the following characteristics:

1. The texture is better than glass, with excellent gloss, transparent, and no cotton or impurities can be seen with the naked eye. The water is so full and filling that it feels like it is about to overflow.

2. It has obvious fluorescence, which is icy and cold, while the jade quality is as smooth and delicate as silk and extremely warm.

3. The color is mainly green or light green, the color is uniform and no color roots can be seen.

The color of dragon stone jade is mainly light-colored. In the early years, people mostly collected dark-colored dragon stone jade, and few people were interested in light-colored dragon stone jade. However, with the increase in market demand and the tightening of jade raw materials, the price of light-colored dragon stone jade has increased several times, or even dozens of times. "Good goods are easy to sell, buy high and don't buy low" has always been the rule of the jade market.

"Dragon stone species" is also called divine dragon species, dragon species or old dragon stone species. Dragon Stone Jade is the top grade variety of jade and is a rare treasure that has been sold in Myanmar for hundreds of years. It is as hard to come by as a dragon, so it is named “Dragon Stone” Jade.
