Is there black jade? There are 4 kinds of black in jadeite, only the 4th kind is the most attractive, the other 3 kinds are flaws

When talking about jade, the first thing that comes to mind is the refreshing green. However, in fact, jade has a rich variety of colors, including yellow, orange, purple, red, etc., and even black. It’s just that it is relatively rare, so people see it relatively less. But to be honest, there are 4 kinds of black jade. The fourth one is the most attractive, and the other three are flaws.

For example, the most common impurities in jadeite include dots, filaments, bands or spots. Although they are all black, the reasons for the black color are not the same. For example, in general, the cause of black spots is chromite, black spots are hornblende, black threads are generally hornblende vein bands, and bands are aggregates of filaments.

1. Dark spots

Black spots refer to black spot-like impurities that penetrate into the interior of jade. There are three different shapes: filamentous black spots, dot-like black spots and band-like black spots. In the circle, this kind of black spots are generally not called black spots, but called lichen. Because this kind of black spots extend from the original jadeite all the way to the interior of the jadeite, it is called lichen. Generally, if you see lichen on the original jadeite, then there will usually be jade inside.

2. Black belt and black silk

The black bands and black threads mentioned here are different from the black spots mentioned above. They are generally not present on the surface, but in the internal band-shaped or thread-shaped impurities. They are generally less in number and may also gather together to form a black block. Inside the jade, the black bands or black threads are generally distributed parallel to the green color of the jade. The green color of the jade tightly wraps the black bands and black threads, which are impurities that cannot be removed.

3. Black Spot

The black spots mentioned here are fundamentally different from the black spots mentioned above. The black spots mentioned here generally appear in jadeite with sufficient water head and good color. They are a kind of black spots with relatively large spacing. This kind of black spots are commonly known as fly shit in the circle, and some black spots are hollow, called sand nails, or sand bags. These are all descriptions of black spots. As long as there are not too many black spots, they generally will not affect the value of jadeite.

4. Black Jade

The three types mentioned above are all black in the jade family, which will affect the overall value of jade, that is, defects. The black jadeite we are going to talk about below is the truly valuable black jadeite. Black jadeite is not actually black, but the green is too rich, so it looks like black to the naked eye, that is, green in black and black in green.

The black color of black jadeite is the kind of black that looks very mysterious and very atmospheric. When exposed to strong light, the black turns into a refreshing green. That green is not the green of Yang Green, but a green that can instantly attract people's eyes. It is very beautiful, very luxurious and atmospheric. Generally, black jadeite has relatively few impurities, and even if there are black spots inside, they cannot be seen. Therefore, black jadeite is generally very valuable.

Black is relatively common in the jade family, but most of the time it refers to defects. Black jadeite is the only type of black in the jade family that is liked by many players. This is because black jadeite is very rare and very valuable. Therefore, it is different from impurities and defects, which is why it is liked by players.
