Foreign matter enters the cracks of jade in the form of hydrothermal fluids, continuously filling and recrystallizing in the cracks. After tens of thousands of years or even longer, the cracks in the jade are completely healed, forming stone patterns.

2. Minor flaws are acceptable

Some grains are affected by certain factors during the development process, resulting in a low degree of jadeification, and ultimately resulting in jade remaining in a stone state, like thick strips of stone seeping into glass. Stone Flower

Stone flower refers to a floc-like white precipitate, and stone flower can only be seen in jadeite with good water quality. Stone flowers can be divided into soft and hard. The so-called hard means that the boundary between the stone flower and the green is obvious, and soft means that the boundary between the two is not much. The hardness of the stone flower has a greater impact on the value of jadeite, while the softer stone flower dissolves in the green and has much smaller impact on its value.

The mixed color is the color formed by other coloring substances mixed into jade when it is formed. Small areas or dots of green, red, and yellow can make the entire jade jewelry more beautiful and distinctive, which is called "qiao se"; if the mixed colors are ugly and affect the entire image of the jade, then it is called "dirty color", which is generally black, brown, or gray.

3. If it affects the value, don’t buy it

Fissures are naturally growing cracks in jade. In the jargon, open cracks are called "cracks", while cracks that have healed or been filled with substances are called "fissures". The presence of cracks sometimes seriously affects the beauty of jade and also has a great impact on the price of jade.

Cracks are secondary cracks caused by vibration or collision during the process of jade mining, transportation and processing. The jade structure has been destroyed and there is no filling in the middle. The most obvious feature of cracks is that they are visible to the naked eye, and when you scratch them with your fingernail, you can feel the obstructive texture and they break easily. It can be said that cracks can have a fatal impact on the value of jade.

If the natural flaws do not outweigh the merits, you can buy it; but if they affect the overall image, it is best not to buy it.

Acquired flaws, cracks, and the like, no matter how obvious they are, are not acceptable because the jade's firmness has been damaged and it may break at any time.
