Jade carving is the most ingenious form of Chinese craft. Various techniques such as round carving, relief carving, and openwork carving make the precious jade shine more beautifully in the hands of carving craftsmen. There are also countless great sculptors in ancient China. Jade carving is generally divided into machine carving and hand carving. Because of the value of jade, different carving methods will be used, and there are also very big differences between the two. From a business perspective, lowering costs is understandable, but the assembly line does not fit the essence of jade. The edges of machine-carved jade are uniform and dull, without any inward concave arc, making it look smoother. It is hand-carved, with smooth and natural lines, well-defined knife strokes, and beautiful arcs. In some jade shapes, such as Guanyin and Buddha, you will find that there are often some "grooves" in the folds of the earlobes and eyebrows. Machine carving will appear stiff; but hand carving will be more delicate, with vivid expressions, lifelike, and vibrant lines. There are two types of machine carving: ultrasonic carving and computer machine carving. Ultrasonic carving generally uses a mold made of high-carbon steel to vibrate and rub back and forth on the surface of the jade material at an ultrasonic frequency. This method can copy and paste jade with only one mold, saving time and effort; while computer carving uses a computer to copy the shape by comparing it with a sample. Each hand-carved piece is a one-of-a-kind creation. How about it, isn’t the difference huge? This is roughly the principle of good materials and good workmanship, right? Do you think our carving master is also very amazing? Now let’s take a look at the beautiful works of the carving master. The longevity lock is made of top-grade full green jadeite, which is translucent, elegant and luxurious. I dreamed of entering Peach Blossom Land, unaware that the mountains and waters were clear and refreshing, with a strong ancient charm. The beautiful scenery of Huangshan Mountain is exquisitely carved and vividly, with a well-determined composition of density and sparseness, and a vast expanse of emerald green, which is beyond words. Peach blossoms, flowing water and fat mandarin fish are depicted in freehand style with the delicate reality of meticulous brushwork, adhering to the landscape style of the Lingnan School of Painting. To enhance the craftsmanship value of jade, one must not only be familiar with jade carving techniques, but also form one's own unique carving aesthetics. The eternal spring scenery has a strong Lingnan flavor. Heaven on Earth has exquisite carvings, perfectly showing the delicate and pure texture of the jade material. fcgc66 fcpf18 |
