Some jade, even if the water quality is good, has cotton inside. Since the surface of the rough goods is rough, it is not obvious. After polishing, the cotton inside becomes obvious, which is called "cottoning" in the jargon. Another issue is the color. The rough goods look dark in color, but become lighter after polishing, because it looks transparent and the color is also lighter.

First, choose the ones that are old, have fine flesh, are moist and transparent, have rich and bright colors, and have a clean base. The texture of the jade itself is the prerequisite for determining the effect of raw goods.

Works expressed with lines have a smoother polishing effect and a stronger sense of light. Secondly, under the same material, the light from the curved surface is more beautiful than the light from the flat surface.

Third, choose the fineness of the finishing. Fineness also has a direct impact on cargo handling.
