Teach you how to distinguish B and C grade jadeite

Today I would like to tell you one of the most important knowledge points in the jade industry, which is about the identification of BC jade.

Many people know that the identification of BC goods is a key point of jade (knowledge), and many people have actually learned it. Now I think about how I came into contact with this knowledge more than ten years ago.

That was when I had just started working in the jade industry, and I had actually been deceived a little. Later, I enrolled in courses at a jade training institution. In fact, this same teaching method has been used from more than ten years ago until now.

Let me teach you how to identify BC jadeite. So what is the (identification) method?

I recall that I actually spent a whole day learning how to identify professional instruments, such as infrared spectrometers, specific gravity meters, and density meters.

I even had to use a magnifying glass to study what the processed jade looked like, but in reality, these things were of no use to me in the next ten years of business.

Even a friend of mine asked me some time ago, Teacher Zhang, please help me check whether this jade has been processed. Remember to bring a magnifying glass. At that time, I directly replied to him that I didn’t know how to use a magnifying glass to identify it.

Because in fact, in the process of jadeite trading and management, if you take out a magnifying glass to look at the jadeite you want to buy, you will definitely suffer a huge loss.

This is also one of the most fundamental reasons why we established the practical and applicable Jade Business School. Because all the jade training institutions on the market now teach things that have nothing to do with actual applications.

Maybe I'm a little excited, because I really feel that there is a huge difference between jade training and actual application.

Then I will talk to you about how to learn the key points of identification in practical jade studies.

If we are a practitioner in this industry, or a hobbyist, etc., how do we identify BC jadeite?

The first thing I will tell you is it is very simple. Let’s look at the appraisal certificate. After you purchase the goods, you will go to get an appraisal certificate, or for example, if you buy it somewhere, you will just need to take a jade appraisal certificate.

So how do you read the jade identification certificate? I have a piece of knowledge to share with you

If we turn the jade certificate over, we will see three certification marks of the jade appraisal agency on the back.

The first sign is called CMA, which is the most common sign.

What does CMA mean? It is a sign of qualified measurement. In fact, as long as there is this sign, I can determine that the jade identification certificate is legally effective and there is no problem.

There is also a more advanced certification called CAL, which is a symbol of a nationally recognized metrology and testing agency.

What is the sign of taking a further step? It is CNAS or CNAL. This is a logo of a national jade appraisal agency (including) many jewelry appraisal agencies.

In fact, these three marks can range from low to medium to high. Of course, the more complete the marks are, the higher the level of the appraisal agency.
