The color should be positive, rich, bright, uniform and vivid.

Positive: Pure green, not blue or yellow. The best emerald green is called Imperial Green.

Rich: The color should be rich, not too dark but dull, nor too light.

Yang: The color must be bright, not dull.

Uniform: color is uniform

Qiao: refers to the clever distribution of colors in the carving, or the use of multiple colors.

Quality: Texture, the more transparent the better. It can be divided into fully transparent (glass type), semi-transparent (ice type), slightly transparent on the surface (glutinous type) and not transparent (bean type)

Impurities: white cotton wool, black minerals, and cracks.

Shape: It refers to the ratio of thickness, length and width of the cut, just like the body shape, it should not be skewed, asymmetrical or of uneven thickness.

Work: It refers to carving and polishing. The carving must be delicate and creative, and must use colors and avoid impurities.

Body: size. Jadeite raw stones are priced by kilogram, and finished products are priced by piece size.
