Why does jade need to be inlaid?

Jade inlay is a skill that requires very high technical skills. It is a processing technology that fixes jade on a metal bracket. Inlay is mostly used on K gold jewelry because it is relatively hard.

Some jades are too small to be worn directly and need to be set before they can be worn. We call this type of mosaic a functional mosaic. This type of inlay is mostly used for ring faces and small plain pieces. In addition to meeting the needs of wearing, it can also highlight strengths and avoid weaknesses.

Inlay can enhance the color. For example, the ring faces and plain pieces are exquisitely crafted, and whether it is the shape, curvature or carving technique, they are all perfect. When sold, most pigmented pieces are sealed with tin foil, which makes the color appear better and closer to the effect after inlay.
