The red series of jadeite includes dark red, deep red, bright red, light red, slightly red and brownish yellow, deep yellow, chicken-fat yellow, light yellow and pale yellow series. Therefore, when determining whether a piece of red jade is valuable, the brightness of its color is one of the most critical factors. There is a kind of red jadeite color vividly called "Cockscomb Red". It is not only red, but also very pure and bright, with delicate jade quality and crystal clearness. It is a rare top-grade red jadeite with high ornamental and collection value.

Things to note when buying red jadeite: The brownish-red or dark red red jadeite that we often see in the market has a coarse texture and is a low-grade type with many impurities. It can be bought for a few hundred or a few thousand yuan and generally has no room for appreciation and collection value. In addition, there is a kind of burned red jade on the market. These red jades are all produced through artificial high-temperature heat treatment. Although they are beautiful, they will not appreciate in value and have no collection value.

Therefore, when purchasing, collectors should pay attention to whether the red jadeite they purchase is baked jadeite. If they have any doubts, it is best to stay away from it.
