The investment value of jadeite rough stone

The investment value of jadeite rough stone

1. Cost-effectiveness: Jadeite products of high ice grade and above are sold in the market for hundreds of thousands or even millions. The cost of a piece of ice-type raw stone is only tens of thousands, and a large piece is only a few hundred thousand. Buy the raw stone and cut it yourself. If you can cut out floating colors, it will be a big increase in value and great value for money. Even if no special features are cut out, processing the raw stone into one or several finished jade products according to its own properties is much more cost-effective than buying them on the market.

2. Value stability: The price of finished jade products is transparent, and the secondary sales value is greatly reduced. However, due to the depletion of mines, the output of jadeite raw stones has been declining year by year. The cost of purchasing raw stones has increased. In the raw stone market, a piece of relatively intact ice-type material or color material is never short of buyers, and the price increases several times or even dozens of times a year. There are more and more high-end purchases of jade for the purpose of investment and collection. The transaction rate of jade items at auctions is high and the price is rising. This is because the rarity, artistry and investment nature of jade determine that jade is an investment product with good value preservation and appreciation functions.

3. Room for appreciation: First, the resources of high-quality jadeite raw stones are gradually decreasing. After so many years of mining, high-quality jadeite raw stones are becoming less and less. Therefore, with the reduction of jade resources, the price of high-quality jade raw stones is naturally very high. Second, the Myanmar government’s hunger marketing strategy. Although there are many countries in the world that produce jadeite raw stones, 90% of them come from Myanmar, and gem-grade jadeite basically comes from Myanmar. Therefore, Myanmar controls the jade market, and jade is a non-renewable resource, and jade raw stones are becoming increasingly scarce. In recent years, the Myanmar government has strictly prohibited the export of raw materials and has adopted "hunger marketing" tactics, which has led to an increase in the price of jadeite raw stones. Third, the market demand is large, and the large market demand is particularly evident in high-end jadeite. In the domestic market, as long as it is high-end jade and the price is acceptable, it can often be sold very quickly. Even though the jade market is currently depressed, high-end jade has no shortage of buyers. The sky-high prices of raw stones sold at the Myanmar public auction fully illustrate this point.
