There are several types of jade carving machines. The first type is the tooth machine. Most jade carvings now use this type of machine. The only difference between it and the ancient jade carving machine is that the knife is small and the speed is high! It is an extension of human hands, such as electronic machines (tooth machines, adjustable speed, small-sized grinding heads), gong machines (strong power, can be equipped with small and medium-sized grinding heads, non-adjustable speed), and flat knitting machines (also called universal machines, with a variety of rods, and can be equipped with small, medium, and large grinding heads and cutting wheels). The second method is ultrasonic, which uses diamond abrasive to vibrate out simple Guanyin Buddha and dragons on a pre-cast gravure mold, depending on what the mold is. They are basically thin pendants or something like that! In the past, Guangdong used to make mostly low-end jadeite, large quantities of ordinary goods! The third type is CNC three-axis or four-axis. The technology was blocked by foreign countries in the past, but now it is everywhere. The machines cost anywhere from several thousand to over ten thousand! It’s not difficult to learn, and you can buy pictures for a few dollars each. Just set the size and coordinate points and start! Machine plane engraving does produce a lot of engraving, but it is still relatively rigid and easy to identify! It is said that a fourth type has emerged: three-dimensional sculpture, which has good three-dimensionality, but still cannot incorporate too much artistic creativity! For most people, jade carving machines are easy to use. The key is to try, to get started, and to experience them. It can be seen from many jadeite and jade stones on the market that people nowadays are too impetuous, and the tricks are becoming more and more sophisticated. Jade carving machines, also known as computer-controlled engraving machines, have now developed to the sixth generation, also known as CNC carving machines. They can even reach a depth of more than 40mm, which can basically meet the carving needs of general jade pieces. They are generally used for flat relief carvings on pendants. They are highly efficient and suitable for mass production, such as handicrafts, tourist souvenirs and low-end jade products. The disadvantage is that it cannot adapt to changes in the texture, color, water quality, and foundation of the original stone material, so most of its products are regular, uniform, rigid, and lack aura. Ordinary carving masters may eventually be replaced by jade carving machines, and perhaps one day computer carving with delicate craftsmanship will also be able to do it, but master-level artistic creativity can never be replaced! Simply put, jade carving should be constructed according to the material. To create a good work, the jade carving master needs to constantly control the material, texture, color and inadvertent cracks of the material. A landscape plaque, from design creativity to carving, and then to polishing and grinding, will take ten days to half a month if done manually at the fastest speed. If an engraving machine is used, the speed will be one or two times faster. That being said, the engraving machine not only wastes materials, but also makes the jade lose its original aura. Really good materials are reluctant to be carved by machines, but the labor cost is so high, so now many people say "master craftsmanship", but in fact this master craftsmanship is transferring the cost to consumers, making you pay more! The biggest advantage of jade engraving machines is that they save engraving labor costs and engraving time, thereby greatly reducing engraving costs. Not only that, the engraving machine is also suitable for mass production of some jades. In the jade market, except for large and medium-sized ornaments that need to be hand-carved, one-third of small pendants are machine-carved. However, if you want to fully control one or several engraving machines, you must undergo professional training. The biggest advantage of machine carving is that it saves time and costs, lowers the threshold for jade carving, and can be operated after simple training, which greatly reduces the price of jade carving products. Jade CNC engraving machine can be used for mass production and processing of some ordinary materials. For example, it is more convenient and economical to make ordinary parts than to do them manually! A teenager is operating it. Do you think it is difficult to machine carve jadeite? Let me give you a simple example. For example, asking everyone to draw a circle or asking a painter to draw one, which one do you think is more standard? The results are obvious. My understanding of a computer engraving machine is a compass. It cannot replace painters, let alone sculptors. It can only be said that it is a very good auxiliary tool. The advantage of computer engraving machines is more about improving efficiency and reducing labor costs to a certain extent. But it also has great limitations, which are all determined by the uniqueness of the jade industry. However, computer carving has much higher requirements for raw materials than traditional jade carving. The loss of raw materials is relatively large. Jade carving emphasizes "applying art according to the material", and dirt and cracks can be corrected promptly and effectively during the carving process. However, the themes of computer engraving are all from ready-made award-winning and master works, which are made by scanning. There are no specialized cartographers, so there are very few products with strong originality. Moreover, jade carving machines are also machines, and machines are bound to have errors and failure rates. Come out as scrap. Jade carving machine can only be said to be a tool and means in the jade industry! As for to what extent? Ultimately it all depends on the people! If humans can give jade carving machines artistic programs, they may eventually be able to carve out works of art! But in fact, jade carving machines are far inferior to hand carving. If you buy jade raw stones to carve, I suggest you choose a merchant who does hand carving! The finished product carved by hand is the most perfect! If you want to buy jadeite, but don’t understand it and are afraid of being cheated, you can observe, understand and learn more first! As for computer engraving of jadeite, is there a market for it? This depends on the customer base. In many businesses, others make money, but you can’t even get a share of the profits, right? It depends on the individual situation!
