How to identify the authenticity of jade identification certificates? How to read jade identification certificates?

Whenever talking about jadeite, the issue of identifying its authenticity is a headache. Not to mention outsiders, even veteran players with more than ten years in the industry can make mistakes sometimes. After all, the methods of jadeite counterfeiting are becoming more and more realistic every year. Therefore, many people will choose products with jade identification certificates when purchasing jade. But if you think that as long as there is a certificate, it is real jade, then you are wrong.

In China, jade identification certificates do not come from just one institution. Currently, there are three main types of jade identification certificates on the market, namely national inspection, provincial inspection, universities and third-party testing institutions.

The National Inspection Commission is affiliated to the Jewelry and Jadeite Management Center of the Ministry of Land and Resources. It is the setter of Chinese jewelry industry standards and the most authoritative testing agency, abbreviated as NGTC. The national inspection jade identification certificate is as follows:

Provincial inspection refers to the jewelry and jade appraisal centers in each province. For example, the Yunnan Jewelry and Jade Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute is a representative provincial inspection agency in terms of jade testing capabilities and authority. The jade identification certificate issued by Yunnan Provincial Inspection is as follows:

As for colleges and universities and third-party testing agencies, they are opened by some universities with jewelry majors, or some private enterprises. However, because these institutions involve private reasons, their testing standards will be lower. Of course, the testing fees are also cheaper than national and provincial inspections, so merchants are also willing to use them.

I wonder if you have noticed a common point when looking at these certificates, that is, the jade appraisal certificates of these authoritative institutions must have "CMA", "CAL" or "CNAL" logos. These logos represent the qualifications of the institutions, and "CMA" is a must. If it is missing, it proves that the appraisal agency has no appraisal qualifications at all and is not trustworthy.

Another formal jade identification certificate, in addition to the above English logo, will also have product pictures, certificate numbers and the organization's stamp.
