Jade designed with Western aesthetics, some people praise it, while others think it is low-brow

Jade is one of the synonyms of Chinese jewelry and is sought after by countless Chinese people. Although this kind of jade is not very popular in the Western jewelry market, influenced by Chinese consumption, jade is still available in the Western market. There are many designs from big-name jewelry companies. These jade ornaments reveal different aesthetics. Some people can't help but smile at each other when they see these jades, while others think they are pretty good. What do you think?

Figure 1: Cartier Art Deco style jade brooch. This brooch was created in 1927. In order to highlight the oriental classical charm, the full green flower petal in the middle is also carved with a garden scene.

Figure 2 is a Boucheron decorative-style brooch, also made in the 1920s. The teardrop-shaped jadeite has impurities in terms of water quality.

Figure 4, Jadeite Ring/Dior’s auspicious lion design with a strong oriental flavor combines a unique Western court feel. Some people say the design style is unique, while others say it is cumbersome.

Figure 5. I don’t know which brand this design comes from, but the carving of the Buddha statue is really not very good. Not only does it fail to resemble the spirit, but it also looks a bit out of place. It feels like a waste of the diamonds, emeralds and rubies next to it.

Personally, I think that jade works under the Western aesthetics have their own characteristics and are refreshing, but there are also places where the essence cannot be found, making them a bit weird. What do you think?
