Super beautiful jade ring inlay, you won’t want to take it off once you put it on!

Modern people's demand for and aesthetic standards for jade jewelry are constantly changing with the development of the times. Inlaid jade has become more fashionable, and the processing technology has also been developed. With the fusion of Western gem jewelry culture and Eastern jade culture, there are more and more inlaid jade jewelry. The benefit of this is that it sets off the bright green color of jade, and it also protects the jade itself.

The exquisite jade inlay craftsmanship further highlights the charm of jade. The luster of metal blends harmoniously into it, contrasting with the emerald color to reveal a fashionable atmosphere. Today I will introduce to you the ring setting methods, let’s see which style is your favorite!

Prong Setting

Claw setting is a method of using metal claws to secure jadeite to a bracket (setting). Claw setting can be divided into two types: single-grain setting and group setting. Single-grain setting means only setting one larger jadeite on the mount to highlight and reflect the brilliance and value of the jadeite.

Bezel

Bezel setting is also called edge setting. It is a process of surrounding a gemstone with a metal border. It is mostly used for larger gemstones, especially those with arched surfaces, because it is not easy to fasten larger arched gemstones with claw setting, and the long claws affect the overall appearance.

Buried

Without using teeth, holes are drilled directly on the metal, and fine grooves are machined at the hole. The diamond is embedded in the hole, and then the surrounding metal is wrapped around its edge to create a circle of metal ring, which visually has the effect of magnifying the jade. This setting method is very difficult. The jade table and the surrounding metal must be on the same plane. The metal support must be of a certain thickness to bury the entire jade inside, and the bottom tip of the pavilion cannot be exposed outside. The jewelry inlaid in this way looks steady and generous. However, it is difficult and suitable for jadeite with higher hardness.

Channel Setting

It is often used to set a row of small jadeite of the same size. This setting technique uses two strips of metal to hold the jade from both sides. The channel setting is like a railroad track with jade in the middle.
