As the saying goes: "One carrot, one hole". The ups and downs of life are like a carrot. No matter how difficult it is, you need to walk through it with your feet on the ground. In addition, radish is called "cai tou" in some areas, which is homophonic with "cai tou" (lucky head), because it has a good meaning. Because of this, radish has a simple and beautiful meaning, and jade carvers often use this subject matter to create their works. Two large radishes with green leaves and white stems were growing steadily in the soil. There happened to be a small gray rabbit looking around, as if looking for something to eat; clumps of weeds were also growing vigorously around them. The work is vividly created. It is a realistic carving called "Boundless Land of Blessings" by a young jade carver. It is said that it was sold for a lot of RMB. Next, let’s appreciate its creation process. The raw materials are two pieces of jadeite, which are not very eye-catching, with poor quality and many cracks. They have to be used by jade carvers to create in order to enhance their value. If we were to see such a stone with poor quality and many cracks, it would not look good at all if made into a pendant, and it would definitely be hopeless. But if we hand it over to a jade carver, there might still be a glimmer of hope. Look, a different kind of jade has been designed. The master was carving a white radish, cleverly utilizing the unique features of jade, using green as leaves and white as radish, while avoiding cracks and continuously improving the work until he had preliminarily completed the cutting. Next, he starts to carve fine details on his hands. The master first uses a jade carving machine to grind out the basic shape, and then uses a carving knife to process it. This may sound a bit cumbersome, but making a carving does require so many steps, so it is commonplace for jade carvers. After rough and fine carving, the whole piece of material becomes round and delicate. After polishing, it may present a better effect under the natural luster. The finished product is now perfect and is truly stunning. The author's bold innovation has turned a raw stone that was considered worthless into such an exquisite finished product, just like a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. Coupled with the weeds that look like strings of money, the picture is lifelike and vivid. The jade carver also named it "Boundless Blessings", which means the best wishes. The work is really great! What do you guys think?
