Using a piece of ice-glutinous green jadeite to carve enlightenment, the finished product is extremely attractive

Jadeite of the best quality, because of its moist and transparent texture and strong gelatinous luster, often does not require complicated carving to create a fascinating artistic conception. Today I will share a process of enlightenment without form, and let us feel the beautiful artistic conception brought by simple lines.

This is a piece of ice-glutinous jade with a green base sent to me by a jade friend. The jade is old and fine, and there is less cotton wool. The dark green base color makes the jade particularly charming. Even if there are a few streaks on the material, it will not affect its beauty.

Jade lovers love pendants with themes of formless Buddha, and this piece of jade is very suitable for creating such themes. So we finalized this idea: the side with a darker background color is the front, and a lotus petal is used to avoid a streak on the front, with Shang Wudao designed in the lower right corner; the back has a lighter background color and streaks, and lotus and dragonflies are used to avoid the pattern. The combination of lotus and dragonfly symbolizes "the highest level of integrity"; the top has a lotus emerging from the water as the flower head to enrich the subject matter and the picture sense.

The jade carver uses shallow carving techniques to outline the pattern. The monk is vividly depicted with beautiful lines, and the lotus petal patterns are faintly visible, which is very artistic!

The reverse side is also lightly carved, but the carvings of the dragonfly and lotus are more delicate.

After polishing, the pendant has an attractive dark green base color, and the entire body is full of gummy luster.

By avoiding carving, all the wrinkles on the jade material have been removed, greatly improving the perfection and value of the finished product.
