How to express emerald patterns

How to express emerald patterns

Jade auspicious patterns use flowers, birds, animals, people, utensils, and some auspicious words, with myths and folk legends as the background, and adopt homophony, metaphor, simile, symbol, pun and other expression methods to form an expression form of "one auspicious sentence and one pattern", which gives the meaning of eliminating disasters and avoiding difficulties, seeking good luck and fortune, and embodies people's beautiful wishes for pursuit of joy, happiness and longevity.

1. Homophonic method

Use the pronunciation of something and some auspicious words, or use the same words, homophones or near-phonetics to express auspicious meanings.

2. Metaphor

Directly use objects as metaphors, that is, use objects with meanings to illustrate auspiciousness. For example, mandarin ducks represent the love between husband and wife, pine trees represent longevity, and the ingot coins in jade carvings represent wealth, and so on.

3. Analogy

There are two techniques: personification and anthropomorphism. You can compare people to beautiful things, or use beautiful things to personify people. For example, plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum are used to symbolize a person's noble character, the South Pole Immortal or Magu offering longevity represents longevity, a shepherd boy represents peace in the world, and so on.

4. Symbolism

With the help of specific things and through association, subjective consciousness is placed on objective things, making specific things appear with abstract meaning. For example, the peony in jade carving symbolizes wealth and prosperity.

5. Deformation method

Directly turn auspicious words into patterns. Such as longevity, happiness, and ten thousand characters that never end; or stretching "囍" to "双喜", which is a metaphor for the joy of a newlywed marriage and a lasting marriage.
