Jade is loved by people for its crystal clear texture and is called the "King of Jade". Today, I will tell you the steps of jade polishing.

The first step: Apply polishing paste. Generally speaking, there are two types of polishing pastes for jade, one is green chromium oxide and the other is orange cerium oxide. The purpose is to mark the different shades of jade with different colors.

The second step: grinding the jade. This step is to grind the surface according to the different colors of the polishing paste on the surface of the jade. After grinding is completed, apply polishing paste again and continue grinding. Generally, it needs to be repeated about two or three times before it is considered finished.

The third step: polishing. After the jade is ground, we need to polish it. That is, apply diamond polishing powder on the surface of the jade, and then polish it with a hard-bristle brush. In this way, the hand-polished jade is basically completed, and only some details remain to be processed.

The fourth step: cleaning, which is to clean the polished jade, mainly to wash away the remaining polishing powder, stains, etc. on the jade. Generally, an ultrasonic machine is used for cleaning, and alcohol is used to wipe the places that cannot be cleaned.

Step 5: Waxing. The purpose of waxing is to make the jade more lustrous. Of course, it can also play a certain protective role. One thing to note is that waxing is not a jade treatment, so waxed jade is still natural jade.
