The original jadeite stone that looks like a pig's trotter was carved into an amazing Arhat, and the jade carver was convinced

This piece of jadeite rough stone is in the shape of a pig's trotter. It is high-ice material with yellow and green colors. It has a lot of water and a strong luster. There are cracks at the head and tail, so you can only pick a piece in the middle.

But it would be a pity to leave the head and tail missing, how to make a ring face? But the ring face made of yellow and green colors is really ugly, and the colors may also make it look evil. What about the carved brand? How about splitting it into mountain peaks and carving it according to the shape to make a landscape card?

Jadeite raw stones change with the times. In our eyes, carving a landscape has saved the stone, but we don’t know that the jade carver has given the stone a higher soul with his ingenuity.

The moment the design drawing appeared, I was skeptical. Can this really be carved? Such a delicate and wonderful conception is the first step to test the jade carver, and the second step is the carving. There are a lot of details in this design drawing. Can the expression be captured properly? Can the details be portrayed perfectly?

The materials are all painted according to the design drawings, so it seems that there are quite a few discrepancies with the design.

It's becoming more and more realistic. The expression of the arhat carved out of jade is even more compassionate and more lifelike than the one painted on paper.

The complete work, Arhat riding an elephant. All the details in the design draft have been achieved, and combined with the water quality and the yellow and green colors, this work is more three-dimensional, and has more tension and expressiveness.

The back view of the Arhat riding an elephant shows that after clever carving and repairing of the wall, there is not a single crack visible. Who can still imagine that this is the original stone!

Let’s take a closer look at the details.

“I never tire of fine food and I never tire of delicate meat” is not only suitable for describing cooking, but also for describing the “Arhat Riding an Elephant”. No matter how small the details are, they must be carved and polished bit by bit, just to achieve perfection.

The original stone, which was full of cracks and looked like a pig's trotter, was transformed into a compassionate arhat. The skillful hands of jade carvers have brought us a new visual feast and also brought new souls to the jade raw stones. This jade carving work is undoubtedly a success!
