How to identify the authenticity of jadeite, absolutely useful information

When it comes to jadeite, everyone may be familiar with it. Sometimes when you want to buy it, it is difficult to tell whether it is real or fake. Here I would like to share my experience with you.

This Guanyin is an A-grade product.

Let me first tell you about the process of jadeite counterfeiting.

First, pickling is divided into local pickling and whole pickling. Local pickling generally appears in high-quality goods, and whole pickling is generally cheaper. The main purpose of pickling is to remove impurities. For example, if a bracelet has local black spots, it will greatly affect the price, so it may be pickled to remove the impurities. If not found, the price will be much higher. The whole pickling process is for ordinary goods, the material is relatively poor. After this kind of pickling, the structure of the jade will be completely destroyed, like tofu dregs. Everyone will ask, why does the B look like dregs? This involves the second part.

The second step is to fill with glue. It is said above that if the jade has been pickled into residue, it is definitely not acceptable. It needs to be filled with glue to glue it together. The jade that has been filled with glue will shine under a fluorescent light. This is a way to distinguish the authenticity. You can also use a UV light. If it shines inside, it means it has been filled with glue. However, this method is not rigorous. Some jades have no glue and cannot be seen. There is also a new type of inert glue that does not emit light.

The third step is dyeing, which is to add color. It is easy to see that the color is unnatural. Second, there is no color root.

The colors are all floating, and it is obvious that they have been processed.

No matter how jade is processed, it is nothing more than these three steps. It is not difficult to see that the first step cannot be omitted. Acid pickling is necessary. As long as acid pickling marks are found, there is definitely a problem. This is also the basis for identifying authenticity.
