Tips for choosing jadeite Buddha amulets: the most beautiful ones may not be the most suitable for you

Hello, everyone! Your editor is here again! We often say that jade is a kind of sentiment. For jade lovers, jade is a beautiful sustenance, and every piece of jade has a beautiful meaning. Therefore, there are certain requirements when wearing jade. For example, we often say: men wear Guanyin and women wear Buddha, which means that men are suitable for Guanyin, while women are more suitable for Buddha. Because the homonym of Guanyin is: official seal. It means rising step by step. The Buddha is also known as the Laughing Buddha, which symbolizes open-mindedness, constant smile and peace. Another theory is that the Guanyin and Buddha are worn in opposite genders in order to absorb their advantages and make up for their own shortcomings, giving a sense of yin and yang harmony. Of course, there are far more than just these two types of jewelry made from jade, so in today’s pictures and text, we will introduce the various types of jade jewelry and their symbolic meanings.

The first thing we naturally want to talk about is the most representative jade bracelet. Among them, the peace bracelet is the type shown in the picture above. Its meaning is self-evident, which is: peace and safety.

The meaning of the round bracelet in the picture above is: long-lasting perfection. Simply put, it means a fulfilling life and long-lasting love. In addition, there is the imperial concubine bracelet like the one shown below, which symbolizes peace and tranquility. Bracelets generally represent peace, perfection, and the hope for a good life. Next, let’s look for pendants, brands and the like. Because they have diverse shapes and numerous styles, they have more meanings.

The first and most popular one is Acalanatha. There are actually many shapes of it, and the one we are seeing now (as shown below) is just one of them. It is also called Acalanatha Bodhisattva, where "Acalanatha" means that the heart of compassion is firm and unshakable. "Ming" means the brightness of wisdom and the ability to see through everything. The last word "Wang" is easy to understand, as it refers to a person who has the ability to control everything. So, in a nutshell, the meaning of Acala is: seize opportunities, gain insight into opportunities, look at things rationally, use your own wisdom, deal with difficulties calmly, and at the same time maintain a kind heart, so as to live a successful life.

In addition, another common figure is Manjushri Bodhisattva (as shown below), who is one of the four great Bodhisattvas in Buddhism. He is a symbol of great wisdom and can develop wisdom and improve understanding. The implication is also academic success, fame and fortune, and lots of wealth and happiness. According to Buddhism, his body is purple-gold in color, shaped like a boy, holding a diamond sword in his right hand, which can kill demons and put an end to troubles. In his left hand he holds a blue lotus with a supreme scripture on the flower. The mount is a majestic lion, which symbolizes sacredness and inviolability.

When talking about Manjushri Bodhisattva, we have to mention Samantabhadra Bodhisattva (as shown in the picture below). It is also one of the four great bodhisattvas in Mahayana Buddhism. He symbolizes the virtue of reason and the virtue of practice, and corresponds to Manjushri Bodhisattva, who symbolizes the virtue of wisdom and the virtue of righteousness. The most distinctive feature is his mount: a six-tusked white elephant. The six teeth represent the six kinds of purity, and the four feet also symbolize the four virtues.

So after reading this, I believe everyone has understood that different jade pendants have different meanings. Today we have talked a lot about Buddhism. In fact, it is not superstition. I just think they all have a kind of beautiful hope. Because people are becoming more and more open-minded now, various Buddha amulets and bracelets may be used more as simple decorations. So I will just simply give you some scientific knowledge and understanding. Okay, today’s picture and text sharing ends here. See you next time!
