This work is "Six-Armed Guanyin" created by Guangdong carving master Lin Qiuping. When you see the final effect of the Six-Armed Guanyin, it is hard to imagine what the original stone looked like.

Lin Qiuping, a jade carving master from Guangdong Province, was born in Jieyang in 1974. He was fond of calligraphy and painting since he was young and was guided by the famous calligrapher and painter Huang Huijie. He graduated from the Ceramic Sculpture Art Department of Guangdong Ceramics School in 1997. Later, he became a disciple of Master Lin Chaoming, and received guidance from Masters Zhang Bingguang, Ding Huichao, Huang Hong and Song Shiyi. The Guanyin he carved has peaceful features and delicate, rounded lines. She nods slightly and smiles, with full cheeks, looking noble and exuding a compassionate and dignified temperament. Faced with complex situations such as defects, Lin Qiuping did not rush to start carving. After many rounds of thinking and brewing, he was well aware of the difficulty of the material. He used plaster to conduct a preliminary test before deciding to carve. This time, he decided to use the three-headed, six-armed Guanyin as the subject.

In the early stage of shaping the materials, in order to optimize the whole work in terms of viewing and subject matter, it is necessary to make the maximum mathematical choices and achieve symmetrical processing of leaf shapes.

The Three-Faced Guanyin is also known as the Ruyi Wheel Venerable and Ruyi Wheel Guanyin. The three faces symbolize wisdom, peace, and kindness respectively. Each Dharma image contains a great intelligence and sensing function, which can increase blessings and wisdom, and bless peace, that is, completely get rid of ignorance, troubles and various bondages, and achieve the state of great freedom and great ease. It expresses the compassionate spirit of "all beings recite the Buddha, and the Buddha recites the sentient beings". It is the spiritual symbol of "compassion", "wisdom" and "peace".
