1. Green

Value point: saturated, rich, neither biased nor evil.

Green is the most common and valuable color in jade, but green alone is not enough. The quality of the jade is also very important. Green without quality of jade is dry and lacks spirituality. When looking at the color, the first thing to see is whether the color is correct. If it has a gray tone, the green will appear dirty; if it has a black tone, the color will become darker; the entry of gray and black tones will make the green jade look biased and evil. There is also a white tone in the green, which results in the green color of the jade being diluted, the color becoming lighter, the saturation being reduced, and the value being reduced accordingly.

2. Red Jadeite (Red)

Value point: It should be transparent, rich in color, and not burnt red.

The red color in jade is more valuable than the yellow color, but its output is less than the yellow color. From a sensory perspective, red is richer and more gorgeous than yellow. The best ones are transparent and have a pure red color, which is of collection value. There are also some red jadeites that are artificially heated and fired into red. A uniform layer of red is often formed on the surface of the red jadeite, which looks like paste attached to the outside of the jadeite. It looks unnatural and lacks spirituality. The fired red jadeite has no collection value.

3. Yellow Jade (yellow)

Value point: It should be transparent and rich.

Generally speaking, yellow will only become an advantage of jadeite when the quality is transparent, the texture is fine, and the yellow color is rich. These yellow colors are often used in clever carvings to add a lot of color to the jade. However, dull yellow color and poor water content are often the shortcomings of jadeite, which means it looks dirty in jargon. If jade has the three colors of green, yellow and white at the same time, it is also called "Fu Lu Shou".

4. Glass type (white)

Value point: It should be transparent, have a gluey feel, and be fluorescent.

For white glass, the standard for measuring its color value is whether it is pure and white enough. The purer and whiter it is, the more valuable it is. White glass jade with yellowish or blue tones is not as valuable as pure white glass jade.

5. Black Jade

Value point: Dark enough in oblique light: flawless in light, and green in translucent color.

Jadeite looks black on the surface, but when observed against a light source, it is actually dark green. The black jadeite is evenly and shiny black, has good water content, fine texture, no flaws, and rich color, which is the best quality. It is very high-end and elegant for men to wear. The color of black jade is deep, and it has the meaning of warding off evil and avoiding danger, so it is deeply loved by jade lovers.

6. Blue Water (Blue)

Value point: good water quality and bright color.

Blue water jadeite has a uniform, light blue color. But blue water does not simply refer to the color. It also requires that the soil is old, delicate, the water head is good and the transparency is high, and then it is matched with the color to be called such a name. Its color and transparency are like the blue of sea water, like a blue ghost, and like the luxury of high-grade aquamarine. It makes people feel like a spiritual treasure, beautiful and full of fantasy, and indeed beautiful and attractive. Due to its good overall uniformity, Blue Water Jade can be used to make bracelets and relatively large and thick jade products. Good blue material is very expensive, and with good carving, it can be said to be a jadeite with great collection value.

7. Violet (purple)

Value point: Delicate and rich.

Purple is also called violet, or "spring". Jadeite that has both green and purple colors is called "Spring Color". Jadeite comes in four colors: yellow, green, purple and white, and is also known as "Fu Lu Shou Xi". Strictly speaking, the output of purple jadeite is not particularly small. It is more than red jadeite. Its blocks are larger, and its crystal grains are usually coarser and its transparency is lower. The truly valuable violets are the high-quality varieties. At present, there is a serious polarization in purple jade. The price of purple jade with fine quality and rich color is rising rapidly, which is in sharp contrast to the general purple jade with light and dark color and rough texture, and the gap between the two is widening day by day.
