"Figures are my specialty. In order to try new methods of expression and explore the richness of jade carving, I began to study animals and landscapes desperately. The characteristic of his works is that he does not limit the subject matter. As a student of Wang Chaoyang, he values ​​materials, focuses on highlighting the characteristics of materials, and explores the richness of materials. However, this is also a difficult point in creation. "When carving, the choice of materials is a big problem. There is no exactly the same material. Each piece is an exploration of the unknown."

The more difficult the work is, the more attentive it requires. Su Yiran is good at clever carving, carving according to the material, applying his skills in accordance with the material, and tapping into the beauty of the material. An impressive creative experience gave Su Yiran a deeper understanding of this.

The colorful work "Auspicious" is a carved elephant head. Through the design of the material, the three colors of white, red and green occupy their respective positions harmoniously, showing the overall natural beauty. The combination of colors creates a rich visual effect.
